WS-3: 6G Standardization and Current Research Trends

This workshop aims at gathering the recent advances in 6G standardization and research and provides a platform to scientific researchers, industry professionals, and academia to exchange the latest research ideas on future technology standardization. As the wireless industry and communication horizon continue to evolve, ongoing research on 6G is poised to be the next big thing. In November 2023, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) released its vision document, IMT-2030, which has sparked a surge in research activities to define the requirements and evaluation criteria for potential radio interface technologies for IMT-2030. Additionally, in December 2023, the Global organization for telecommunications standard development, 3GPP, announced its plans to develop the next generation of global communications specifications. With these exciting developments in mind, our workshop aims to gather experts and enthusiasts to explore the latest trends and vision in 6G. We believe that this workshop will serve as a catalyst for new thoughts and contributions to this specific topic.
